What a week it has been in Whistler! Hosting the Invictus Games brought an incredible energy to the village—from  concerts and the Royal Air Force flyby to Harry and Meghan delivering full Olympic vibes. The atmosphere was electric, and Whistler was truly showing off in the best way possible. Moments like these remind us why this place is so special.

February and March in Whistler, BC, are packed with exciting events that celebrate winter sports, arts, and culture.  The Deep Winter Photo Challenge also takes place, showcasing stunning photography from professional athletes and photographers capturing Whistler’s winter magic. In March, the Peak to Valley Race, a legendary long-course downhill ski race, challenges competitors on Whistler Mountain, while the Whistler World Ski & Snowboard Festival (WSSF) starts ramping up with art exhibits, film screenings, and live music. Throughout both months, visitors can enjoy weekly Fire & Ice Shows, where skiers and snowboarders perform tricks through fire-lit rings at the base of Whistler Mountain. The town is alive with après-ski parties, fine dining experiences, and world-class skiing, making it an unforgettable time to visit.

As we look ahead, spring is just around the corner, and I’m hoping the arctic flows have subsided for the year, giving us longer days and a solid base of snowfall. I think one of the absolute best parts of January was the incredible skating we’ve enjoyed on the local lakes- the images of sunsets and strawberry skies at twilight have been magical!
